ULLR: WORKWEAR FOR POWDER DAYS

DEVELOPED WITH SKI PATROLLERS AND PROFESSIONAL FREERIDE SKIERS

Our latest ULLR collection, designed for freeride skiing, comes as a result of input from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort ski patrollers, Marisa and Michael, together with professional skiers, Jim Ryan and Madison Rose.

Not many people spend more time on the mountain than these professional skiers who crush it hard all season long. Their playground is filled with deep powder, steep faces, infinite bowls, and evergreen trees. So when we set about designing this year's ULLR collection, we knew it needed to work hard.

AWARD-WINNING DESIGN MADE EVEN BETTER

Rewind to 2020 when the Elevation Infinity Jacket was voted as the best hardshell product in the Snowsports Segment at ISPO. It had the key features for freeride skiing, but this season, we decided it was time for an upgrade. And who better to speak with than professional skiers? Our design team collaborated with Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Jim Ryan and Madison Rose to hear their thoughts.

"DROP THE POWDER SKIRT"

When speaking with the professionals, we quickly learned that a powder skirt wasn't a deal breaker because in steep terrain and deep powder, they prefer to wear bib pants. This season, we removed the powder skirt from the jacket to allow for more protection, freedom of movement, and compatibility with bib pants.

NEVER RE-REPROOF WITH LIFA INFINITY PRO™

Ski patrollers like Marisa and Michael, who spend long hours on the mountain in very low temperatures need to keep dry throughout the day - both from the elements outside and their sweat vapor on the inside. Striking a balance between waterproofness and breathability is key to the performance of a freeride jacket.

The technology behind the balance is LIFA INFINITY Pro™. It is created with a fully waterproof/breathable LIFA INFINITY™ membrane, which is achieved without the use of chemicals, and combined with our lightweight and water-hating LIFA® face fabric.

ELEVATION LIFALOFT DOWN JACKET

High in the mountains where the conditions can change in the blink of an eye, layering is central to an enjoyable experience. As the wind picks up, the Elevation LIFALOFT Down Jacket provides a good option that's both warm and packable.

This insulator ski jacket combines Allied Feather & Down® with LIFALOFT™ panels for the ultimate lightweight and packable design. It’s part of our Workwear for Powder Days capsule, designed in collaboration with professional ski patrollers — the best gear for pros on their day off on the slopes.

JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF WARMTH

When working hard in challenging terrain, the hem and cuffs of an insulator are more exposed to powder. In these areas, the design team chose to use our proprietary LIFALOFT™ insulation. This synthetic insulation dries faster and manages moisture better than down. On the sleeves and torso where warmth is needed the most, we combined 85% goose down with 15% goose feather to give added comfort.

Overall, big fan. Feels good, looks good, and comfort is excellent.
